bob f questioned: I’m looking for an electric fireplace, in oak color, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a excellent website that sells them for about $200? I’ve looked at sears, walmart, target, kmart, homedepot, and then don’t really have any…….If anyone knows of a different website, please let me know.
THANK!!

Crystal M questioned: I have 2 thermostats in my home and one works and warms our house. The other is right next to our fireplace (which I am assuming is electric) and does nothing when I turn it on. What is the problem?

Your honor, your Honor questioned: I have received an ancient hand hewn barn beam of white oak I want to attach to studded drywall above a gas fireplace. The beam is 10″ x 6″ x 6′ and weighs in excess of 135lbs.What would be a excellent way to anchor this to the wall with preferrably nothing showing? The weight, obviously concerns me. I plot on using a stone veneer around the mantel once it is installed.

maidenlexey questioned: I have went into a house that has a fireplace, but the people who lived here before did not clean it, and the glass windows are nearly black. When the doors are open they fold together, making it hard to clean the inside of them. I want to know if there is some way to unhook the door so I can clean inside.

Bill questioned: I had the gas fireplace on this morning, then all of a sudden the flame went completely out. I have no thought what happened. I turned the gas shut off key to the right until it stopped and the light switch for the fireplace to off. Is there anything more I should do and does anyone have an thought what happened?

s s questioned: My bunny apparently used the bathroom on the brick in front of the fireplace and it dried before I realized she’d done it.
I have tried cleaning it with vinegar and water, then 409, and also with dawn dish liguid getergent and a firm scrub brush.
Nothing has worked. It looks like the stain has set in and changed the color of the brick.
Can anyone tell me how to clean this back to normal?
Sarah

SatieG questioned: I just bought a ventless fireplace unit which uses gel fuel. I have searched online to order some, but everyone sells it in cases of 24 for $79. I really will only use it on the holidays and on occasion, so I don’t need all that. Does anyone know where I can buy a smaller case? Do any major retail stores or online sites offer this?
