I need to replace a log lighter in a fireplace with the valve/burner for propane. What do I need?

Fireplace currently is wood burning or gas (propane fueled) with key valve in place. It has a log lighter in the actual fireplace. I need to replace or convert the log lighter to accept the propane burner. Thank you.

essentially, your first need would be a gas fitter…this is something experienced trades people should be doing as it involves orifice changes and a different regulator and there is no room for experimentation.
