E-Lo questioned:
I have a fireplace with ancient stone on it, and want to take that off and build a floor to ceiling fireplace, maybe using tiles (ceramic). Does anyone have any thoughts or pictures of their own of something that’s not cheap, but not overly expensive either?

I have searched google, and only get the ancient style mantel fireplace images.

we have a marble and wood fireplace. It’s pretty. I don’t reckon it was expensive, but it wasn’t cheap either.
We have a fireplace that is really surrounded by a rock wall, floor to ceiling and patio door to bedroom wall. It’s fantastic as the entire wall heats up after a few hours of using the fireplace and act as a heat radiator for the living room. The rock is native Texas limestone, same as the exterior of the house.
