How do you remove a fireplace in a mobile home?

My fireplace doesn’t work properly and I want to make my living room larger.

   U can’t remove a fireplace in a mobile home cause it was built in it.All u can do is keep it cut off until the winter time.Make your living room somewhere else or go into a house.

   I have worked on mobile homes before and the thing is everything is load bearing in a mobile home. So if you remove a structure like a brick fireplace you could have a real problem. ie saggy roof. If it is a free standing wood stove …then that is a different tale. My advice is plug the chimney up with a chimney Balloon nice and tight to keep from loosing heat and AC and do your best to dress it up with a candelabra or place furniture in front of it. Sorry that is probubly not the answer you were hoping for…
