Mail this post What is the ring on the side of this fireplace for?
Thursday, October 1st, 2009Miakoda questioned:
The fireplace in the apartment I am hoping to go to has a ring embedded in the side, inside the firebox. What is that ring for? It appears to be QUITE strong.
It’s not a knob, and it’s certainly not a shut off. It’s IN the fireplace, on the side of the place where the burning wood goes.
